In Honor of Labor Day
Today, GFI is launching Labor to Livelihoods, a one-week campaign to raise $25,000 to provide tools and support systems that help informal workers transition to more secure and resilient livelihoods.
The informal economy includes more than two billion workers, including 85% of workers in Sub-Saharan Africa, who struggle to access decent wages, secure contracts, enforced labor standards or basic social protections.
For over 20 years, Global Fairness Initiative has worked alongside worker-led organizations, listening first, building local capacity, and co-creating solutions that communities can sustain over the long term
